Notification of the Collection, Processing and Use of Personal Information of National Pingtung University Applicants

The Office of International Affairs of National Pingtung University (hereinafter referred to as "the office"), in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"), hereby informs you of the following matters, please read it carefully:

1. Purpose of collection: to establish the information of international students applying to study at the university for reviewing, processing and using.

2. Categories of the personal data to be collected: identification (e.g. Chinese and English names, passport numbers, contact phone numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses, account numbers and account names), characteristics (e.g. date of birth, nationality), etc.

3. The time period, territory, recipients, and methods of which the personal data is used:

• Time period: the period that is necessary to carry out the identified purposes of collection, the period that is stipulated in the law and regulations or the period that is necessary to carry out the business of the office
• Territory: Republic of China (R.O.C.), Taiwan.
• Recipients: international and overseas Chinese students applying to study at the University.
• Methods: the use of written or electronic materials.

4. According to Article 3 of the Act, with respect to your personal data kept by the office, you may claim the following rights:

• May make an inquiry of, request to review, or request a copy of the personal data.
• May supplement or correct the personal data with reasonable evidence.
• May demand the cessation of the collection, processing or use, or request to delete the personal data. However, the office may refuse the request if it is necessary to carry out the business.

5. The effects on your rights and interests if you choose not to provide your personal information: the applicant may freely choose whether to provide the personal information or not; however, if you choose not to provide it, the office cannot proceed necessary review and operating procedures. The application will not be processed.

*In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version of notification, the Chinese version shall prevail.

國立屏東大學入學申請者個人資料蒐集、處理及利用告知事項

國立屏東大學國際事務處（以下簡稱本處）依據個人資料保護法（以下稱個資法），向臺端告知下列事項，請臺端詳閱：

一、蒐集之目的：建立申請本校就讀僑外籍生之資料，以進行審核、處理及運用。

二、蒐集之個人資料類別：識別類（例如：中、英文姓名、護照號碼、聯絡電話號碼、地址、電子郵遞地址、帳戶號碼與戶名）、特徵類（例如：出生年月日、國籍）等。

三、個人資料利用之期間、地區、對象及方式：

• 期間：個人資料蒐集之特定目的存續期間、依相關法令或本處因執行業務所必須之保存期間。
• 地區：中華民國。
• 對象：申請就讀本校僑外籍生。
• 方式：書面或電子資料之利用方式。

四、依據個資法第三條規定，臺端就本處保有臺端之個人資料得行使下列權利：

• 得向本處查詢、請求閱覽或請求製給複製本。
• 得向本處請求補充或更正，惟臺端應為適當之釋明。
• 得向本處請求停止蒐集、處理或利用及請求刪除，惟本處因執行業務所必須者，得不依臺端請求為之。

五、臺端不提供個人資料所致權益之影響：臺端得自由選擇是否提供個人相關資料，惟臺端若拒絕提供相關個人資料，本組將無法進行必要之審核及處理作業，致無法辦理臺端提出之申請。
