簡介

一、本系專業課程(如音樂基礎訓練、室內樂、管絃樂合奏等課程)，藉由運用聽覺辨別及與他人互動之表演能力，進行相關學習及演奏訓練。
二、本系為非師資培育學系。
三、本系成立於民國82年。本系目前共有12位專任老師，九成以上為博士學歷，實施精緻教學，展演訓練與理論課程並重。除了自我定位為屏東縣社區音樂學習中心，本系並以提升高屏地區音樂及藝文相關領域素質為使命，更藉頻繁的國際學術研討會、大師班講座及音樂展演，培養具有國際視野之音樂專業人才，落實「在地國際化、國際在地化」之發展目標。本系畢業生無論從事公私立音樂相關教職，或音樂行政與流行音樂工作，均有傑出表現。

1. Courses such as aural training, chamber music, and orchestra/chorus can not only provide students to improve the techniques of collaborative art, but also develop their capabilities in execution of musical expression, intonation, and performing skills.

3. Founded in 1993, and the only academic music school in Pingtung county, the NPTU music department offers a program of study that emphasizes both musical performance and academic research. Oven 90 percent of the full-time faculty members are holding a doctoral degree. Academic events such as international conference, master class, lecture, and concert are frequently held to not only improve the performance ability but also provide an academic environment with cultural and intellectual diversity.
