簡介

一、本系著重光電、奈米科技、材料、人工晶體生長技術研發及計算物理，設有各種現代實驗室，供學生學習高科技產業技術，本系雖非為師資培育學系，但仍可提出申請，參加遴選，修習各類教育學程。 
二、  實驗課程為本系學習之重點之一，學生均須透過親自進行實驗以奠定物理基礎專業知識與實驗技能。部分實驗需透過色彩判讀分析實驗數據。
三、 為非師資培育學系。

1. The department focuses on research and development of photonics, nanotechnology, materials, artificial crystals growth technique and computational physics. With many of the modern laboratories, it provides students a high-quality environment for the study of technological skills.
2.The experimental course is one of the key points of the department's learning. Students need to conduct experiments to establish the basic professional knowledge and experimental skills of physics. Color vision is necessary in some experiments.。
3.Though, it is a non-teacher cultivation department, the students can still apply for various kinds of teachers’ programs on campus.
